Learn how to Create Contracts within the Merchant Portal

Overview

There are times that you might have discovered a miss contract, during these times Extend wants to make this as easy as possible for you to create the missing contract through the Merchant Portal. Below are the simple and easy steps you can follow in order to create these Contracts and Orders.

General Callouts

  • When creating contracts within Merchant Portal, keep in mind that these contracts will be billable by Extend.
  • We will only allow Contract Creation for Orders within a 90 day window. If you need assistance before then please contact Merchant Support through your Merchant Portal account.
  • This feature only works for Product Protection contracts.

How to create a Contract

  1. Login to your Merchant Portal account
  2. Click the Create Contracts button on the top right

  1. Enter in the Transaction ID: (Transaction ID is the value Extend uses to reference your orders, sometimes this may be referred to as Order Number in your system)
    * If Extend finds a transaction ID we have a lead token you can use for the customer. You will now be editing the Order, meaning the purchase date is already determined

  2. Enter the Customer Shipping Information:

  3. Enter the Reference ID of the purchase product:

Where do I get my Reference ID?

The Reference ID is the value that Extend uses to reference your products in your catalog. In order to create an Order and Contract, we'll need these values to properly reflect what was purchase.

To get these values you can click on the View Products button on your prompt.

  1. Enter in the Purchase Price and Purchase Date:

  2. Select the Plan and the Number of Contracts needed:

  3. Accept the Service Agreement and Review your Order/Contract before it gets created:

  4. Congratulations you've created your Contract!
    * You may have to wait a few seconds for Extend to create your contract, please review your confirmation message to ensure the contract is created
