Overview

Congratulations on completing your Extend integration! This section will walk you through validating your integration. To publish the our integration there are two phases:

• Your validation
• Extend validation

First we'll ask that you go through the integration checklist below and validate using the mentioned test cases. Once that is complete you can submit a final review request through your merchant portal.

Use the integration checklist below to validate the different pieces of your integration.

Product Page Offers

Go to an eligible product page that is mapped to a protection plan > confirm the offer buttons render on a page with a mapped product. If you can’t find an eligible product, go to www.merchants.extend.com and find a product that is matched and live.
Click on the ‘Learn more/What’s Covered’ link above the offer buttons -> confirm the Learn More modal displays
Increase the quantity of the product on the product page and ensure the offer buttons still render.
Select a new variant on the product page > confirm the offer buttons reload when the new variant is selected.
Add an Extend warranty plan to the cart from the product page > confirm the protection plan appears in the cart as a separate line item.

Product Page Offer Modal

Go to an eligible product page that is mapped to a protection plan and click ‘Add to cart’ without selecting a protection plan > confirm the product page modal successfully launches.
Add an Extend warranty plan to the cart from the modal offer > confirm the protection plan appears in the cart as a separate line item.

Cart Offers

Go to an eligible product page that is mapped to a protection plan and click ‘Add to cart’ without selecting a protection plan> confirm the offer button renders on the cart page.
Click on the cart offer button > confirm the modal is successfully launched.
Add a warranty to the cart from the modal > confirm the protection plan appears in the cart as a separate line item.
Add two or more eligible products to the cart without warranties > confirm the offer button renders below each product on the cart page.
Remove the Extend warranty plan from the cart -> confirm the offer button renders automatically for that product.

Cart Normalization & Cart Balancing

Add a product and an Extend warranty plan to the cart from the product page. In the cart, increase the quantity of the Extended warranty > confirm the Extend warranty plan is automatically re-adjusted to match the quantity of the product it is associated with.
Increase the quantity of the product -> confirm the quantity of the Extend warranty plan associated with that product is also increased.
Remove the product that has an associated Extend warranty plan -> confirm that the Extend warranty plan is also removed.

Warranty Styling

Attributes that should be visible in the warranty line item are the title of its associated product and the term length.
After the warranty is added to the cart, attributes such as the warranty plan ID & Reference ID should not be visible to the user on the cart page.
The warranty title and image icon should not be clickable, in order to prevent users from navigating to a warranty PDP page.

Miscellaneous

Confirm the merchant logo can be seen on Learn More modal and Offer Modal -> if the logo is not present, go to www.merchants.extend.com to upload the logo.
Confirm Learn More modal and Offer Modal is not being covered by any of the page’s elements, especially in small-width desktop and mobile resolutions.

Extend Validation

Submit a QA request through your Merchant Portal including both a:
Preview link to your in progress Shopify theme
Link to a warrantable product
